We are frequently asked how to cut cork. The cutting should only be done by an Adult.
Position the cork on a surface that will not be damaged when the cut is made. Measure and lightly mark a straight line at two points on the cork where the cut will be made -
then place a long solid straight edge on top of the cork at the exact point where lines "just" show. Use a "safety style" box cutter which only has a one sided retractable blade.
Carefully run the box cutter blade next to the straight edge.
